How does it work?
In simple terms, retailers want more people visiting their online stores, so they pay commission to websites that drive traffic to them. shop2fundraise is such a website and earns commission from 1000′s of high profile online UK retailers. The majority of this commission [70%] is then passed onto the nominated charity, in this case Relate West Surrey.
Who are our online retailing partners?
Whatever your intended purchase, one of our retailing partners can probably supply it. They include big names such as Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Boots, Disneyland Resort Paris, PC World, HMV, and Comet.
Cost to the shopper.
Zero! In fact it is free to the shopper as the shopper never has to spend more than usual (we even help them spend less via online discount codes) and they never have to buy anything they didn’t actually intend to buy.
Cost to Charity’s and other good causes.
Zero! It is free to all charities and good causes as all the costs are paid for by shop2fundraise.
How does the scheme raise money?
All income is split so that 70% of the money goes to the charity and 30% is retained by shop2fundraise. From this 30%, all costs for development, operating and marketing are paid for by shop2fundraise.
This means for us at Relate West Surrey that an average of 5% of your online spend could be received as a new source of fundraising income. And at no cost to you the shopper.
